Well, I've finally done it - after 3 years of thinking about buying one of these fantastic machines, then talking myself out of it, I collect a 2006 facelift model in 2 weeks (it has the 6 speed box amongst other things) and cannot wait. Will try and post some pics when it arrives.

Any comments/tips would be appreciated.

a lot of self discipline to wait 3 years!!
and then to wait another 2 weeks to collect.
hopefully will not be a garage queen.
as mine hates to sit around for long periods
hope she is everything you had hoped for.

We look forward to the pictures. Bet you don't get much work done during these next two weeks.

Congratulations

Anticipation is all part of the fun.

I have a 2002 Arnage which I have owned for four years and done 16000 miles in.

The only problems I have had are a s follows.

1. Failure of the internal battery on the alarm system requiring new unit. About £350
2. Auto ride control light for rear nearside wheel coming on. Eventually rewired from wheel to ECU. £650
3. Engine coolant light coming on when coolant was at correct level. Traced to faulty wiring of sensor.

The other thing to watch is a twitchy throttle which requires some care in laying the substantial power down. It is possible to reset this by
a. Turn on ignition when car is cold.
b. Do not start the engine
c. Press accelerator to the floor and hold it there for 5 seconds
d. Repeat 5 times
e turn off ignition.

Its important to get it serviced regularly and to change the oil and coolant to prevent head gasket problems. Coolant change is complex with all sorts of funny bleeding procedures to prevent air locks so make sure its done by someone competent.

Above all enjoy the car.The power and presence when driving is awesome.

It's like a champagne colour with a creamy leather interior.

Will get round to some pictures if it stops raining long enough !
