w12 gives me between 20 and 26 on a long run , 10- 13 round town. I'd give the v8 a wide berth, the w12 is the one to have . Just pencil in a few grand for suspension that might deflate over time and other bits n bobs and a few dodgy sensors . But a great car for the money.
See, I prefer the V8; it's definitely more nimble and better to drive.Taaaaang said:

Totally get where you are coming from re the nimble bit ...I'm just a sucker for a 12 i guess . Jag v12 , Lamborghini v12 and now a w12 I just can't seem to get away from them.
Me too - I think this kinda explains it . You will never feel short changed in a W12Actually should that be ripped off spending more on a V8 ?
Anybody’s disagree with the conclusion below ?

I had a GT Speed for five years. See below MPG over that time. Average 17.8mpg which is pretty good since most of it was commuting in New York City. Longer fast runs got over 20mpg easily. I also used one for a bit in Europe to and from Lake Como in the days when 140-160mph blasts were possible on long stretches, it performed sublimely. I also found the W12 could be hustled very well over the Alpine passes - 4WD and 600bhp is compelling, especially in supreme comfort.
It's meant to be a 12, don't get the 8.

Flame orange extended paint with magnolia main hide and Newmarket tan secondary. Mulliner specification with diamond knurling. Liquid amber over black veneers. Bang and Olufsen upgrade. It is the First edition model also.
I'm quite sure that car will turn into your new daily Tony , I know , I know..... you will want to put it away at the back of the garage, but.....it will be such a nice, lovely ...comfy place to be, to rack up those smooth effortless w12 miles. !! sandysinclair said:

Your not wrong sandy, we will be doing a few more European trips with this one I’m sure....If my 2007 GTC W12 is anything to go by should easily get 22mpg at 80 in Europe. There is an iPhone kit that enables music and calls on the original audio system. The original vacuum hoses do go, seemingly more with time than mileage, and replacement needs the engine out so worth checking if that has already been done. Also check whether the air suspension units have been replaced, as the "bladder"/seals do go after time too. Otherwise, if in good condition, a wonderful car with excellent grunt and a genuine 4 seater with tons of luggage space.

Brital, with the exception of mentioning the possibility of an electrical fault, I think you have summed these earlier GT's up perfectlyGassing Station | Bentley & Rolls Royce | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
