How about a Bentley picture thread
Discussion
In 2017, I was at Charles Serry in Nieuwegein (Nls) and saw this tasty replica of Old Number One, based on a Bentley Mk6.

Fantastic details. This must be a hoot to drive on a sunday morning.

Road legal!

The engine borrowed from the Mk6 is hardly a 6.5 or 8 litre, but that would be a step too far for a road legal car. The original Old Number One won LM twice!
Please tell me what you think.

This was six years ago. After this photo was taken the car was driven precisely 35 feet into a garage, where it remains to this day.
That time period wasn't kind. The carb had seized solid - nothing moved. The fuel tank was 1/4 full of stale fuel and 3/4 full of rusty metal. The tyres will be flat spotted, and all the fluids will need replacing.
However, I am undaunted by the prospect of trying to save this car from the breakers yard. The carb has been stripped and all parts freed up. The engine has fresh oil, a new dizzie cap and rotor, and it runs. The tickover is a little off, but it runs. Next task is to get the fuel tank de-rusted and sealed and back into the car, and then assess the rest of the vehicle before commiting to getting it road legal. I imagine there will be several things that need to be done, mostly due to the neglect of the car's PO - my late Dad. In the 24 years he owned the car I don't think it had more than one proper service.
Despite the best efforts of Bentley not to properly celebrate the 100th anniversary of their first Le Mans win, I filled up the boot, applied some stickers and celebrated on Bentley’s behalf
A great run there and back, despite the changeable weather a great time was had by all ….. not a bad race either
