Hi. Could you offer me some advice on price negotiation for a 2002 Arnage T, please?

I'm an expat Brit in the US and I've been talking to the selling dealer about this car: https://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-sale/vehiclede...

It's out for servicing / state vehicle inspection at the moment and the mechanical condition is clearly most important to me. On other matters though, I'm curious as to where the negotiation points are.....could you help identify some for me? The dealer almost immediately showed his hand to declare the green interior, but that's what appealed to me because of the nod to the blower colour scheme from the 20s/30s racers. I'm guessing it may already be discounted for that, or able to be discounted further. Are there any of areas where I can chip away at them?

Check whether the tappets, head gaskets and camshafts have received any attention. Arnages of this era were prone to chewing things up. I wouldn't touch a car of this age without without proof that the rectification had been done. To be safer, go for a car built after October 2006.

I think the original head gaskets are prone to failure on the R and the T. Replacement HG's are MLS and hold up better. Check records and get it inspected. Lovely car. Good luck.
