If purchasing a new car: Ceramic brakes are best for high speed or mountainous conditions (better fade resistance). They last forever and are lighter, but do not provide as much friction (stopping power) per square inch of disc. Stopping power, of course, is a function of disc area and pressure, and Bentley engineers certainly know this..... All things being equal, for German high speed autobahns ceramic brakes are great. Everywhere else - not so much.

For a 2015: Ceramic brakes added somewhere around $15k to the original purchase price. If there is an alternative car available without ceramic brakes at a lower price it would be a better deal. Since it is unlikely that a comparable car is immediately available I would not hesitate to purchase the car in question. Take it for a spin and check out the stopping distance. Make sure the sounds from the brakes are acceptable - ceramic brakes have a different sound. Not better or worse, just different.

Enjoy!

I've got ceramic brakes on my GT Speed. They are a little grabby when cold but when warm the stopping power is immense. They sometimes make a noise like two wet plates rubbing together but you get used to it. There are three other plusses; they last forever, no rust on the hubs and no brake dust on the front wheels.

A lot of people don't like them as they're an acquired taste. Best to give it a go and see for yourself.
