Specialist, just serviced it, maybe using the correct parts and schedule (or maybe not? biggrin) but unable to turn the check light off?

Hi Mike,

I suppose with it being a Continental GT, there is a small possibility it will be a standard VAG diagnostic port, Phaeton W12. Perhaps your local VAG dealer mechanic could do it? Or have you searched on e-bay? sometimes generic onces are for sale. I know you can get them for BMW's.

Uhhuh

Given that one the service items will undoubtably be to check the system memory for faults, both logged and stored, and to check/rectify them before clearing the fault log, precisely *how* will the engineer have done a proper service without the diagnostic tool?????

Answer -- the wont. So it wont be a proper service, by definition :-)
