You're preaching to the converted. smile

That's why Creamers were always 100% superb - a family owned business who would do anything for their customers....

Ho hum, plus ça change!

I had fantastic service from Broughtons of Surrey this weekend. Went in to pick up a bulb for my Silver Spirit (total bill £2.96) and got tea & biscuits on a silver tray(!) plus a lengthy chat and tour of the latest models on display.

All this despite the fact I'm in no position to drop the best part of 100K on a new Bentley and they are fully aware of it. However, they will certainly remain my first port of call for parts.......

Let them be rude!

There is nothing worse when you have the money and intention to buy luxury goods to find that the showroom is full of dreamers, no-hopers and no-intention-to-buy. It stops being exclusive then.

If they are rude to you when you cannot afford one and should not be in there wasting their time and yours, then how will that put you off when you can afford one?

Either you will not care about how you were treated because you want the car or you will take delight in showing them how wrong they were all those years ago.

Who cares what the salesman thinks? He might be snotty, but he will never afford one.

Having spent a lot of money on cars over the years, I don't care what the salesman thinks - but I care how he behaves.

The guys at the £150k range were never high volume, even lower now. I expect to be treated with a modicum of professionalism - or I'll simply take my cash somewhere else. Not a lot to ask from a 'sales' person is it?

Doesn't bother me where I buy it - might bother the sales guy though.

An ahole is an ahole.

If they are rude whether you are buying or not it shows a lack of respect and therefore they will also try to cheat you in some other way. Some high end garages think that it's cool to be arrogant and offhand, presumably on the 'treat 'em mean' principle. (PCGB have been particularly bad for that in the past.)

Don't encourage them.
