Hi all,

one of my friends is on the look out for a Conti GT for circa £45k. For this budget he'll probably be looking at a 2004 or 2005 model.

Are there any things he needs to look out for? Any desirable options etc?

Obviously a lower mileage example would be better, but are there any known issues with cars around 50-60k?

Thanks for your help

i have a conti gt 48000 miles.have had it for a year as an everyday car. 2004 /54 reg.great to live with.very positive to drive.only comments would be that small electrical gremlins occur and sometimes self cure.buy one with proper history.

biggest things to look out for are

the keyless entry system, the contorl unit is under the pas foot well carpet. so cheak that it opens the car and starts with the key in ya poket, the key funcitons, and the door handle lock switch (small rubber botton no the door) with the key in yor poket you should be able to lock the car by pressing this botton also shut all the windows by holding it.

the front ARB drop links. the bushes in the erly cars arnt grate.

the inside of the tyres as they can be noked out very easly if the car has had poor wheel alinment or a nok.

the boot buttom ( winged B) can get very stiky and fail

and one of the biggest is the battars they runn out very fast, so are norm damaged

there the biggest off the top of my head

so for it bing rushed
