This is the car in question Andy,
Brilliant! She is beautiful. Unless I am mistaken, I do believe that is a 1928 Rolls-Royce 20hp Flewitt D-back Limousine..... :-)

Please run a Reader's Cars thread for it! - we don't have anyone with a nice running 20HP on here at the moment. Lord Flashheart has got his lovely Mann Egerton 20/25, I have a box of bits forming the remains of my 20HP and my 20/25 is still a long long way from moving under her own steam!

There have been quite a few other posters on the Readers Cars threads with interesting RRs..... I have formed a lot of very positive connections by sharing the story behind these cars. One of the real plus points for Pistonheads is that it is open to everyone - so you get a lot of different views and opinions. The RREC forum, for example, being members only, is great for detailed technical points, sourcing parts, solving issues etc, but it clearly can't be seen by a wider audience - so I use both!

I hope you are enjoying the car - do you have any plans for trips out this year or any more deep dive maintenance / restoration?

Many thanks for your kind words, yes you are correct with the description, she's a lovely car but the photo is deceiving, although on the road in theory, it is shabby, especially on the interior, but I can sort it and the hand painted bodywork. She has had a tough life, coming back in 2010 from the states, to be started on but then left in a fully dismantled condition. A long story, I will do as you ask regarding the post, when I learn how to do so !, I'm not up on this tech stuff, I presume that the parts that you refer to in your post will be done eventually, I've noticed some parts on a well known auction site, presumably by yourself?. I am slowly purchasing parts that I need, the car is in storage until I get the work are finished off soon. I hope to use her a few times this year, whether I take her to Burghley is not decided yet I worry about her not being up to standards. It is local for me as I'm Peterborough based, are you attending this year by chance ?, it would be good to meet up if possible. I look forward to getting the post done as you say and meeting/ hearing from other owners here, any guidance will be appreciated, many thanks.
