Where did that Audi come from, and why is it chasing that Rolls Royce?
More to come...

Yes, it was a great day (only Saturday for me, sadly). I took my 12-year old dughter for her first introduction to motor racing and she loved every minute of it. The relaxed, informal atmosphere of the BDC meeting was ideal, with the opportunity to drive in the wheeltracks of Lewis Hamilton being a very special bonus for her. The weather helped, too.
Good to put a face to a name, BG and thanks for pointing me in the direction of Ken Lea, another name to which I had not previously put a face. He surveyed my Derby for me before I bought it (and saved me a lot of money). Coincidentally, he was parked next to me in the parade queue.
The parade was, as you said, a bit formal this year. Maybe next year it will be back to normal and a bit more fun.
We stayed several days in the area (at Bicester Country Club - highly recommended, excellent spa / leisure facilities, though the restaurant is rahter unispiring, but try the Nut Tree in Murcott - fan-bloody-tastic!). Her Indoors spent most of the time at Bicester Shopping village! and the TR was the ideal car for nipping up from the West Country and touring around - fast, comfortable, etc., etc. Every home should have one!
