Cricklewood, Derby, Crewe. What about Belper?

As most of us probably know, WO Bentleys were built at Cricklewood, whilst Rolls Royce started out in Manchester and then moved to Derby, and after the appropriation of Bentley, Rolls Royce's and Bentleys were all built at Derby. The move to Crewe coming at the end of the war.
But I was fortunate enough the other day to have gone on a call to quote for a conservatory, and my elderly client had worked at Clan Foundry, Belper (we got onto the subject of cars after we had viewed his pre war Austin).
Clan foundry is where the R&D department of Rolls Royce was moved to during the war, and it remained open even after the move to Crewe, up until 1950. I used to have a Bentley MKVI, and this was designed, and the mock ups and prototypes etc built at Belper. The production Rolls Royce Phantom IV's were built at Belper, not Crewe.
Fascinating stuff for me, as I live in Belper.
