Continental GT '05 - Telephone & Sat. Nav. improvements?

I like the car but I actively dislike the phone and sat. nav. system. ... It's really poor and to call it "agricultural" or "clunky" would be a compliment.

Does anybody know if the 2005 car (2006 Model Year), can be re-fitted / upgraded with a more up-to-date system? If so; any recommendations of specialists in this field? Some guidance of the potential cost would also be appreciated.

I'm not looking for additional or bolt-on gadget recommendations, I'm hoping to find a solution that intergrates with, or upgrades the existing system or replaces it without cutting or modifying the interior trim.

An i-pod instalation is also on the improvement wish list. Perhaps something that would fit into the glove box and matched / paired to the Hi Fi system? Again, suggestions will be gratefully received.

NB: If you own a Continental GT, do you have occasional/intermitent problems with the sound system? IE: When cornering a little harder than normal and especially if I tweak a small bump in a corner, the sound system jumps to another acoustic effect. EG; From "Studio" to "Concert Hall". Any suggestions? (Except; don't drive on bumpy roads and stay in straight lines).

Hi.I have a 04 GT and a 07GTC.both have the same crap phone and sat-nav.on both cars the sound system just dies every now and then but comes back a minute or two later,so i guess this is a common glitch.Latest GT has a whole new system.Start saving. Harry.
