The bulb out error can can be removed some German owners have done it. Just need bimmercode.
Just for the avoidance of doubt of what you're trying to do, you'll be recoding the car not to look for bulb failures and alert you about them, rather than removing the error.

The configurator still isnt working fully.

Apparently MINI are halting / ceasing production of the JCW due to emissions limits. If you want a JCW it might be best to speak directly to your local dealer

In case anyone is interested, I have retrofitted the LCI tail lights to my 2016 JCW Convertible.

I have managed to code out the indicator fault with the bimmercode app, but am left with a two rear brake light failures (left & right) which flag up when you turn the ignition off. A chap in France has allegedly cleared these with bimmercode, and I've copied his settings but mine still does it.

The tail lights also flicker for the first 5-6 seconds after firing up, which no-one has yet cured.

I'll try the brake light faults again later tonight, but I think these will end up needing dealer coding.

A lot have done it now see Instagram @newminilondon

Bulb out error message can be cleared using Carly app
Changing voltage monitor to off for each function of the rear lights

Dealers won't clear the code - they don't know how to yet...lol

It won't do yet as the maker hasn't updated it for this.

Carlyapp is the best option or a canbus warning canceller like from Eurocarparts or somewhere

Fitted mine yesterday!

So did the lci include anything apart from the annoying BMW tradition of adding LED indicators which frankly is wearing a bit thin?

Hasn't the JCW been withdrawn from sale short term ? The JCW tuning it is also unavailable for cars registered after Nov 2017, again due to emissions

They're starting to arrive at dealers en masse now. Sister is due to collect hers at the weekend if the DVLA sort out her reg!

I look forward to seeing it in the flesh, but I'm beginning to come round to the rear lights and I really like the new badge. The Piano Black exterior is excellent but I'm annoyed it doesn't black out the chrome strip on the grille... Never mind.

Changes to the lights, changes to the base spec, changes to the packs but very significant price increases. No big amount of innovation from what I can tell
