Replacing indicator stalk on R53

Hi all,
Just wondering if anyone had to replace their indicator stalk on a R50/52/53?
Mine seems to have a bit of an issue - when I indicate, the full beem seems to come on, and is quite difficult to switch off. And full beam is very sensitive in general. So is becoming a real pain, and possibly even dangerous because someone might think I’m flashing them to let out of a junction, etc, etc.
So I assume a replacement is needed. I haven’t really found much information - does the steering wheel have to come off? Are they interchangeable between models? Some replacements seem to have a trip computer button too - does it make a difference?
