It was Wheeler Dealers & it is a bit of a fallacy about the 100k service on the R53.
Eaton (supercharger manufacturer) recommends an oil change in their M45 supercharger (as fitted to the r53) recommend the oil to be changed in the supercharger every 100k miles, BMW, however allegedly don't recognise that as a service item (similarly they don't gearbox oil) so an 100k miles service does not include this work as standard.
The job is eminently do-able at home mechanic level with a 1/2 decent toolbox but is a big job.
Youtube has many helpful videos on the task.

So it was quite tatty, patchy service history, 2500 miles overdue the 100k service.
Primary issue, though, is that it is being sold by a 20 something chap in Swindon but registered to a woman in Surrey.
Also, the photos are clearly from a previous owner having seen it in the metal.
