About £46 to fill a tank at 127p a litre- though you ought to be putting the good stuff in so probably closer to £60.
Depends how you drive for MPG - 36mpg if you drive like a granny, 23mpg if you drive like a hooligan.
Edit - Assuming you're driving mixed/clearer roads, not sat in stationary traffic

Personally (completely subjective and not based on any facts) I'd argue that now would be the best time to grab one before the new model is tweaked following the above. I was set to get one 3 weeks ago but ended up getting an Audi S1 (I thought it was a bit less shouty and I'm dull).
I have noticed that if you're getting from a main dealer, the really push for the hard sale closer to end of quarter (even more so than other dealers) so perhaps make the most of that.

I drove the auto and it made all the pops and crackles on the gear change which when test driving I thought was hilarious and put a big grin on my face.
However I have also just bought a house on a quiet street and I didn't want to p*ss off my new neighbours driving out to work at 7am so figured the novelty may wear off!
I ended up buying a manual car because I think it makes better for when you are 'having a moment' and want to get to the speed limit as fast as you can from the lights but then drop out into a higher gear when you're there but I appreciate my other half's auto when lazy driving around town.
Every review I read seemed to suggest the manual JCW is better than the auto.
However I have also just bought a house on a quiet street and I didn't want to p*ss off my new neighbours driving out to work at 7am so figured the novelty may wear off!
I ended up buying a manual car because I think it makes better for when you are 'having a moment' and want to get to the speed limit as fast as you can from the lights but then drop out into a higher gear when you're there but I appreciate my other half's auto when lazy driving around town.

I bought an auto JCW on a June '17 plate with 5k miles back in May for £13k less than list stuffed full of options. Considered a manual but as my commute is mostly made up of gridlocked traffic 70% of the time, I decided semi-auto was the best of both worlds as I can stick it on Sport + manual box mode whenever I go for a spirited drive. The car also came with an extended TLC running till 2021 and warranty will 2020. I believe MINI no longer offer extended TLC post September '17.
Didn't go for the JCW Pro Exhaust as the loud pops and bangs would pi55 everyone off. The standard exhaust in Sport mode stills pops a bit.
The car is an absolute hoot to drive. I had looked at a 435d but after trying out the JCW, I had so much fun that it was a no brainer - especially on the right B road.
stock runflat tyres are a bit skittish so once I've worn through these, I'll stick some Michellin Pilots for improved grip and less road noise.
I don't do many miles so normally put in £30 petrol a week - 22mpg when pushing it which is reasonable.

I've driven the 8 speed in Cooper S LCI form, and the older 6 speed in Cooper form, so not a direct comparison.
The 8 speed is a huge improvement over the 6 speed, which to be fair was a fairly good base to start with. However the 8 speed always seemed to be one step ahead of your own thinking, it's the first automatic I've driven where I didn't feel the need to use the paddles all the time. 8 speeds also offered a very relaxed cruise at high speeds.
The only downside is low speed maneuverability isn't as good as the older torque converter gearbox, but that is to be expected. It isn't awkward by any stretch.
I'd say it's definitely worth the extra money if you can stretch, plus you'll always get a fair chunk of it back come resale time.
