Picked this little beauty up at the start of the month. My first MINI and I've caught the bug! I just wasn't using the C4 and whenever i did drive, I wanted it to be more enjoyable, so sold the c4 and bought a little Cooper! What a great car to drive and to look at... Never fancied one before, but glad I made the change.

Out with the old....

....in with the new.....

Still a Cooper SD with the JCW bits on it but a few years newer, 3 door and manual over the previous auto. New ones on 17k miles and is absolutely mint. Old one served us well but it was getting a little leggy and was needing quite a bit stuff doing.

Had a few hours this afternoon fitting dash cam, giving it a general once over and a bit of a wash and a polish.

Really happy with the car, I'm finding myself wanting to steal it and leave my 1 series at home but the Mrs isn't having any of it smile

@ Greendubber. Very nice. This is the wife’s F55 MCS.

One thing if I please may ask. How did you find the seating position in the 5 door. In comparison to the new 3 door?

I’m not sure if it’s an F generation thing. But her previous one was an R56 MCS. The seat could get really low. You sat ‘in’ the car. The new one ones seat doesn’t get anywhere near as low. It feels like you sit ‘on’ the car. It’s the only fault I have.

5 door was OK and the seat always seemed go low enough for me and I'm 6'4" My 1 series always feels like the seat needs to go about 3" lower than it does and it really annoys me. The 3 door does seem to be a little lower, but not much.

That's my favourite colour combo your wife has there, very nice.

Thanks for that. I have a thing about seat height ever since I had my S3. That was ridiculously high and part of the reason it went. The R56 the wife had at the time felt like your arse was on the tarmac. And that was great especially as the wheel adjusted into your chest.

Yeah the White Silver is really nice when clean. I’m glad it doesn’t have the red roof. That would have been too much!

I do like that. And a sun roof! For some reason a hard option to find when we were looking for our F55.

Probably down to cost, think when I ordered my F56 in 2014 it was around £750.

I think it may have been part of a pack for the R56.

For the holy trinity of heated screen, seats and sunroof was almost impossible! But we were looking for an F55 specifically with the JCW styling kit. Finding one with the JCW was almost impossible. We were considering a dealer retrofit but the thing isn’t getting g driven at the moment!

Evil MINI for Halloween... shameless stolen from MINI themselves...

I'm thinking all they have done is put some black tape across the top of the lights.

The daughter a couple of years ago on her 17th birthday getting the surprise of her life !!
1.6 Cooper, good history and she’s taken it from 78k mikes to 105k miles in 2 years. Been a cracking little car touch wood, with brilliant steering feel.

Cheers appreciate that. She had the arse when I said I was picking her up from school on her birthday but would have to do a detour on the way back to drop my car off and pick up a courtesy car .... thankfully that quickly changed !

Since picking up my Clubman on Jan 12, there has been weeks of snow, then rain and today was the first day where the roads have been (mostly) dry, so I clearly felt the need to go for a squirt on some twisty roads! Great little motor, torque steer in 2nd gear feels like pulling in a good fish!

Here's mine, 175 ish miles on it (2012) still on first clutch baker Street edition, been a great car, would be on over 200k but for covid stopping me working right now. I have had a black union flag put on roof, which makes it look good. ( will take photo out of bedroom window to show when weather better) Only had to replace discs/pads/tyres during it's hard life, oh and the air con condenser picked up a stone....just one of those things not a manufacturer fault. If serviced when required they tend to last. This car has had a hard life, shame it's a driving school car. I would have a second hand 2012/13 car in an instant if it "died"

Sunroof! A rare option. We couldn’t find any F55’s with one with heated seats and the other options we wanted.
