GP3 order thread
Discussion
Has anyone any info on the option tyres, firstly it was going to be a factory option but lately I have been informed it’s a dealership option, the tyre is the same make and size but a semi slick but road legal stamped TD on the side wall, I’m hoping to have a second set of wheels with these tyres fitted for track days. Anyone any thoughts on this. My order placed beginning of January first deposit then second deposit beginning of February. Received my vehicle contract on 4/2/20 and that estimated delivery would be 01/06/20. One good thing is my salesman’s Dad has one on order as well as me and he also wanted the TD tyres. I must say I am surprised nobody else has talked about the wheels and tyres, also the GP3 wheels are specifically for the GP3 I have been told, It will be interesting to see if that’s the case if so they will have to stock the wheels.
Will be visiting the dealers at beginning of March for an update. Cheers.

Not that I know for sure, other than my dealer says one tyre option.
From what I have read and understand is that MINI dealers will offer the Hankook Ventus TD as an optional extra link to Hankook TD oddly the GP tyre size isn’t available..... go figure
I will be looking a spare set of wheels and tyres at some point.
Certainly struggling with the lack of information about the car, not even a physical brochure to thumb through, adjustable camber and track width ( how and what settings, road, track?) can’t wait though. Cherished reg on retention waiting to go

I asked my dealer about this in December and he should me a message in a dealers WhatsApp saying it was rubbish and they wouldn’t be doing them. Apparently some influencer had come out with it and everyone latched on to it. Might have changed now. Will be visiting the dealers at beginning of March for an update. Cheers.

The various videos of the GP3 on test some of them are on the TD tyres, I looked up the website for Hankook tyres and yes they don’t do a 35 profile only a 40 in TD. But one of the last videos I looked at the test GP3 managed to blow up the photo and it was on Hankook TD 35 profile so is this proof that Hankook are making a tyre just for the GP3 as this was what all the adverts said they were going to do.
I have the photos of the TD semi slick tyre 225/35/18 that they used for the video on the track, sorry I am terrible with computers I can’t seem to put the photos up, if anybody wants to see it I will gladly email it to them to give proof of my waffling.

Thanks, you are right, better deals out there. The PCP is good because you can limit the downside but not at 5.9%!https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/loans/cheap-pers...
