Hi all. Just a quick notice to all that someone attempted to pinch our Mini one last night. They broke the heafty padlock to our gates, but were disturbed shortly after by my brother - whos car it is. We will be parking a few cars in front of it tonight, but just a heads up to make people aware that these cars are sort after.

Ah, should have said that they broke in to the house and took the keys. Made it a little easier for them

Didnt realise they made that claim, reasuring to know! How come they are so hard to steal? Mine has the optional alarm system aswell, but I am allways worried its a target for censoreds to damage out of spite!

Oh never knew that. Glad my car is, in theory at least, pretty hard to steal!

Right that makes a bit more sense. A lot of that happening up my end of the country, never leave your keys were they can be found easily!

The immobilisor is pretty sh!t hot on them and the alarm (particularly on mine) makes one hell of a racket if anyone feels like meddling.

I have never had much faith in factory immobilisers. We bought a stop lock for ours (you need the 4x4 version to fit the MINI wheel though)

How do you know they were after the Mini?
