Seems then that cosmetically (I think the light bar low down looks cool, dunno why tho!) people think its cool, but running on 18's with even stiffer, lower suspension it would be abit of a pig on uneven surfaces! My car runs 17's but I have said on here somewhere before that when I get in my younger brothers MINI which is running on 15's you do notice a difference in the ride and handling. The 17's can cause it to be abit skittish on bumpy, wet surfaces if making progess.... Still 99& of the time they are completly fine.

Quick question, has the PaloUber car in the photos got a bodykit on it? I ask because just in front of the front wheels are those orange lights/reflective strips and I have never seen them before. I know it's a basic question, but it looks as though it does but no mention of it is made in the original post. If so, does anyone know what the kit is?

I think that it is because its a North American spec car, as the company is based over there. They all seem to have the reflector in that position, it must be there to meet one of the million regulations for cars over the pond.

The GP also has the same reflectors, as it was produced in Italy for all the markets rather than just the British one. (I think anyway)

No problem, I am still new to the brand myself! Only got mine just before Christmas, still grinning like I was on the first day I got it!! Make sure you get some pics of it up once you get it!! I'd love to make a few mods to mine, but being young insurance is an issue!

no body kit it just has normal cooper S bumpers (diff to the cooper, one and oneD) and the areo kit grill in place of the chrome one and the refectors are part of the usa standard as its a rule out there so all usa spec minis what ever kit they have form bmw will have em

Be careful with Elephant as they wont pay out for any extras on the car - You'll be insured but if it needs replacing you'll only get a basic spec car in return - lots of people on MINI2 got shafted by them this way.

they're insuring the adding risk though not the cost of the plastic.

___

they are sketchy buggers though. they have tried to forget my chilli pack twice now... but in all fairness they now have the mcs chilli as a sperate model (which in effect it is. making out that it isn't is pretty much like saying a focus ghia is a focus LX...).

Glad things have improved - I have to insure mine through Adrian Flux as theres so much added to it TBF, the price hasn't changed much with each mod...

James, did you fit those yourself or did you have the kit with your car?
