Has anyone had one of these fitted? It's a bike/snowboard/ski carrier for the MINI and fixes to the back somehow. Can't find any more information other than in the MINI brochure. Any idea of cost?

i hope it's not like the MINI roof rack thing that needs holes drilling in the roof (arghh!).

The only 2 carriers I can see are the roof rack with options for ski/snowboard or bike-This is nailed on to the roof-literally-this job is quite intesive as you have to drill the roof, which is what I think you've been quoted for.

The other carrier hangs off the back of the tailgate much like a standard bike rack-uses straps and hooks.

Where have you seen the rack you want?

It's shown in the MINI brochure we picked up at the dealer. Only link I can find on the internet is here

Also, the new shape MINI does not require the roof mounted rack to be drilled and fitted - they changed the design

The rack slots neatly into some cut outs in the bumper and locks in place, the frame has in built lights so a single electric kit needs to be fitted...The price is not available as the unit is on hold for the UK market. The frame itself is apprx £250.
There is no release date yet.

Sorry about the dealy in getting back,im not on here much at the mo due to building a business and plan....
