Hi all

The sun has finally arrived in our neck of the woods, but the early morning/late evening commutes over the Pennines are still far from warm. I have been told that I can get a wind deflecter for my Cooper S cab which fits behind the front seats and will make the car much less breezy when the roof is down. My question is...

... do they work...

... and if so how much will it cost to buy one from a dealer?

Any help greatly appreciated

Cheers - Rippers

They work, but you cant use the back seats with one in. There about £150 from your dealer but im not convinced they do enough to justife that price

Perhaps a scarf would be a better and more cost effective purchase!

I would agree with the others that it is a bit of a waste of time. Ours came with one, in it's lovely bag. I put it on once to see how it fitted, then it sat in the boot for a few months and now it sits in the garage. But it will be mentioned as an extra when we come to sell! Not for a few years yet, to much of a smile factor in the car, very hard to repalce.

I've got a deflector in mine. I rarely use the back seats so it's always fitted. Most of the time it is folded flat but I usually use it on the motorways. It makes an amazing difference, women especially like it as it stops thier hair blowing about.

Best thing I ever bought for the car, £160 from the dealer but they are on ebay quite a bit.

top gear did a test with them called the "toupe test" might be worth checking youtube for it
