Upgrading Mini Audio

I've just had a new Cooper for a test drive. I liked the car overall, however, I was not impressed by the sound system. Is there an easy way of upgrading the system? The standard head unit is now built into the speedometer so I'm guessing it's not an easy change. I was thinking of a basic amp and or a speaker upgrade.

I got my stereo upgraded by mikey..and the sound is amazing now, what is even better is the standard of work. I can't recommend him enough.
