Sat Nav upgrade question

Hi All

Can anybody advise please.

Mr's Big Al has an 04 Works Cooper.

She's had it from new and when purchased chose there stock CD Sat Nav.

Now in the last couple of years things have moved on and there standard Sat Nav now allows you to plug in Post Codes and the like. Thought it might be nice to see if we could update to the new system.

So took it into our local main dealer and they want £50 to see if the old unit can be upgraded.

£50 FFS what do they have to do it, is it that complicated to check out?

Anybody been down this road before?

the unit can be falshed with software update disc v29 or higer...tis will give o perspective view etc and then if you get an 07 or newer disc you should get post code,although its part post code ie GL15
