what grade oil for self sevice on mini one

what grade oil shall i get for servicing my mrs' mini one.

halfords guide recomends 5w30 fully synthetic but a local mechanic said semi synthetic.

I haven't got the hand book to hand to see what bmw recommend.

Hi my wifes cooper runs on fully syn,but it likes it ,like i like stella!
Its all thin as fook.
keep wih fully syn,just incase.
