Wife is thinking of a convertable, we have 2 kids 6 & 2, has anyone had kids in the back. Also these seems to hold there money well, so New seems to be the way forword.
Couple of more questions, do they have reverse parking aid & electric folding roof.

I have just sold my 07 plate. They have electric roof and reverse aids. Rear room will be governed by how tall the front occupants are !!

I'm 6ft 0 and if I sit in a comfy position neither my 7 or 4 year old can sit behind me. The gap between the seat back and the rear seat is 3 fingers wide !!! If the other half drives being onlt 5ft 3 there is enough room in the back and I have to sit forward in the passenger seat.

Great cars but very crampt in the back.

We've run a Cooper S convertible for the last few years. Youngster is now 5yrs. Really not a problem. I wouldn't want to to try it as the only car, but other wise it's fine. Also the kids love it! Ours is now up for sale, if your interested it's in the classifieds

Obviously if you are going new, then the r57 is totally different and a larger car inside with far better seats. Get down to a MINI dealer this Saturday and have a look. The old one is not child friendly really, if its not the space, its the scratches and damage kids do to the easily scratch-able back plastics.

And those scratches aren't moving. The previous owner of mine must have had a football playing kid, who wore his boots in the car all the time! frown

You can get those plastics nicely refurbed though. I got my done by a company called Matrim who got them looking like new!

He does all sorts of interior repairs apparently but I wouldn't get them done until your selling the car or the kids!!
