Gotta say that yours (nottyash) was really nice too.....
Cheers.Wife is gutted, but she never used it. It was borderline whether we sold it or kept it as we wouldnt drop in price any more.
Money is better off in the bank for us, great car though especially in the rare purple.

Afternoon guys,
Interesting read. I've had my partners Mini Cooper S up for sale since the tail end of last year and have not had any seious interest.

Any hints, tips, price too high? I had a look around on PH and Autotrader and thought the price was fair for the spec and mileage.
Any help greatly recieved!
Kris
Its well overpriced. If it had all the Full JCW seats and brakes it may fetch over £10000, but for a realistic sale you are nearly 2 grand overpricing it. I know as Ive just sold oursInteresting read. I've had my partners Mini Cooper S up for sale since the tail end of last year and have not had any seious interest.

My girlfriend just bought a new Cooper D before Christmas.
She traded in her Mini One which was bought in March 2009 so 18 months old and 45k on the clock. They gave her £8900 for hers, put it on the forecourt for £10500 and it was sold within the week.
I would say they are moving fairly well.
At that price though people want finance, or are even willing to just spend that little bit more and get the new car to their own spec.

Well we have dropped it to 15.5k and would take 15, i think the finance thing is killing it tbh
Have you been back to the dealer?People aren't going to (IMO) get a £16k loan to buy a car from a private seller, but will happily finance through a dealer for a grand more plus silly interest...
For the sake for half a bag of sand, I really don't see why you're continuing to pay for advertising/test pilots/tyre kickers/possible twoc'ers/pikeys/etc...
