Hi there,

my wife's 09 Cooper (petrol) shows it needs 2.3 bar whatever that is in the rtyres, but out local garage only does PSI. Conversion charts available on the internet indictate that 2.3 bar is about 33 psi, which seems an awful lot of pessure for a wee car.

Its an 09 Standard Cooper, with the Chilli Pack 15 inch alloys.

Can anybody confirm that 33 PSI is about right?

Thanks

That doesn't sound too far out to me; I run 32 front & rear on my R53 with 17" rims. It may also be worth taking a look here.

Yep, 33psi sits right - Just went to the garage myself to put the air in, and the actaul tyre pressure gauge/inflator shows bar down the right next to PSI - My missus just hadn't noticed!!

Thanks for your help

Is there not a sticker on the inside of the fuel cap or on the drivers door frame area which shows the different pressures?

Thanks for the reply cannedheat,

The sticker is on the drivers door frame, detailing Bar pressure. My wife simply hadn't noticed that Bar was also on the gauge at the garage, she just saw the PSI readings.

All is now rectified, and 2.3 Bar is equivalent to 32/33 PSI.

Again, thanks for your reply
