Can a can of 'gunk' be used to repair a slow puncture/leak in a runflat tyre for the MCS?
Will it affect the pressure monitoring mechanism?
I already have a spare RFT but was wondering it's worth keeping the current tyre which still has reasonable tread left.

There are those that have done this, but cans of sealant are only supposed to be a 'get you home' fix, and not a permanent cure. You'd be much better off geting the tyre professionally repaired.

The tyre pressure system works by using the ABS sensor system, there isn't actually a pressure monitoring system inside the tyre. So no, it wouldn't affect it.

slow puncturs are normlay down to holes cuts in the tyre. It is always worth getting the tyre repaird properly. Eg it could be down to a nail you will seal round the nail until it falls out then you are back to squre one.
