Just got myself a 2004 cooper s convertible with xennons fitted. I find that the lights are not providing a good throw on unlit roads, even on high beam. Is this normal with xennons?

I have the hid lights and think they are pretty good but there are a lot of unlit roads around here so I fitted the spotlights which sort out the lighting and look good to. If you have the horizontal grill then there is no cutting required to fit.

The preface lift, before 54 plate are not excellent they are just a step up from the halogen, if you can find a set a facelift set will plug in and will make a huge difference.

Make sure when you turn them on they are auto levelling as that could be your problem

Had the lights checked out and found that the offside light is not moving however the nearside does move but defaults to safe setting pointing down. Into the dealers tomorrow so I will let you know what they find.
