Has anyone any experience retro-fitting a bluetooth kit to a mk1 mini cooper S (2005, non-sat nav model)?
I fitted a Parrot CK3000 Evolution several years ago to go with the Boost single CD head unit, which also has a Dension Ice Link iPod interface fitted. Both items were plug & play and work fine with each other. The only slight complication I had when fitting it was finding somewhere to put all the wires, as they won't all fit directly behind the head unit. Luckily they were long enough to fit neatly behind the fold-down dash panel below the steering column, which is also where I sited the bluetooth module. You'll need access to this module if ever you need to reflash it in the future.
I fitted this one

I liked the wireless control and bought an adaptor lead to get the iso connectors from the mini radio connector. Fitted the control box underneath the dash and you do need to fiddle with the wiring a bit.
No need to program anything on the car it just works. Also streams music from my IPhone 3GS with no problem. I used sticky pads to mount the remote on the dash top to the right of the steering wheel.
