My wife needs some new front tyres on her 2006 Cooper S. Main dealer prices seem quite high (when are they ever not!) as are Kwik Fit and ATS. Anyone know of anywhere where they are available for sub £100 (inc VAT)?

Thanks

What tyres are you after, make etc. There are a number of web sites that you get the tyre from and then they arange local fitment. black circle etc. Found some good price but it is worth trying at leasr 3 as some are better on some types and sizes than others.

Is this another non runflat vs runflat tyre thread?

Yup. Ditch the runflats, buy a set of 4 regular tyres for the price of 2 runflats. Live happily ever after!

IF you can find a tyre place to fit tyres at reasonable price then buy the tyres online.
Best or one of the best (very quick inexpensive courier delivery - £2.49 per tyre, I have always got mine next day) is Camskill.

Are you running Runflats or normal tyres? From what I remember you'll struggle to get a runflat for under £100 each.

I ditched my runflats for normal tyres and the difference was huge - far better ride, and lost the tramlining too. I'm only running Avon ZZ3's, but they seem pretty good so far after 2k miles or so.

Bloody hell!

I just did a couple of comparisons of mid-range tyres like Falkens, in 205 40 17 and 205 45 17 both W speed rated and Camskill are getting on for nearly 30 quid a tyre cheaper! And delivery says 3-5 days, Camskill do overnight!

So Pneus, no thanks.

+1 That site is about £20 too expensive for Yoko Parada's.

Camskill and My Tyres have always worked out cheapest for me. Then my friendly tyre fitter fits them and disposes of the old ones for £12 per wheel.

Although I had to find another guy to fit the non runflats to the Mini as the other one refused to do it!
