How much is it worth ? Poss new mini owner

Went yesterday to have a look at a cooper S advertised privatley.
Its a 57 plate 2007 car. Grey with a chilli pack xenons pan roof (which was sticking and only opening a few mill) mood lighting, sports button and the stop start thing which apperared to not work, (how is it supposed to work ?)
It had two small dings one in the rear quarter and one in the front wing and the front two wheels needed a refurb. 27 k miles a nd full service history.
The TLC book was missing but the seller who bought it from an auction siad it was covered.needed a service next month.
We (me and my wife) both liked the car and it drove well but we couldn't agree on a price. Oh front discs and pads were well on there way out.
So considering what I would need to spend to get it tip top as I am fussy what was / is it worth. I offerd 9.5k but he was after 10.5k.
