Hi,

I have a 2002 mini cooper.

My car lost all it's memory overnight last night.

Radio, Clock, trip miles. Mini started fine this morning with no other issues and to my knowledge the first time this has happened.

Any ideas??

Could be a whole host of things, but more than likely you have moisture in your BCU or the battery is becoming flat. Just watch it and see if it happens again.

Cheers..

It's never happened before and we had a earthquake last night too...

I'll keep my eye on it.

Well if that happened it may have just upset the electrics and the car is fine, I wouldn't worry too much about it

I guess the moisture could be an issue as it's been so cold. Then the car heats up and then cools down and assuming moisture build up occurs then that would explain it.

Mark,

This happened to my wifes MINI on a regular basis and since changing the battery it's been fine. Can't say 100% that you have the same issue, but it sounds familiar
