Mini One D question

Had a look and test drive of a 2003 Mini One D. The car will replace my Lupo as daily driver. Since Minis er new to me I have some fast questions I hope you can help with in here...
What kind of MPG er realistic with a 03´Mine One D. I do 98% long freeway drives at 70mph, and drive pretty economic. (current car is a Lupo 3L)
The car had no plastic engine cover, is that normal?
What should I look outfor on these cars? Timing belt? others?
The sales man seem to make a big fuzz over the cars options, but for all I Know this could allmost all be standard.
Remote central locking
Onboard computer (milage temp etc.)
Aircon, electric windows, ESP
Front foglights
Original MINI roof rack system with roof box.

Dont know the mpg but I know its about avarige for a D of that size. Minis are all about options! AC is good to have, but there are a lot, they are done in packs (sets). If it has got what you want and looks ok normly you cant go two far wrong.
The one is the start of the range.
Check all the electrics work incuding windows and rear wiper (including water). No clicks from steering or wheels when turning. Has the electric pump for the steering been replaced and is it coverd by any warrenty. When turned on the head lights should self level. Check the seats move properly to let some one in the back. If it is on runflats dose it have all the kit in the boot or are some of the parts missing.
