I see that they are finally launching a Diesel version of the Cooper S later this year.

Looks good 2.0 litre 143hp, should have loads of torque and low CO2, ideal as a quick cheap company car (pricing should be about £750 more than a Cooper S), definately at the top of our list to replace Mrs Gunk's company Cooper D next year.

I'm a bit disappointed that it's only going to have 143BHP to be honest - yes, there'll be plenty of torque but I'm not convinced it's going to have very "Cooper S" performance. It'll take a big hit over the Cooper D on economy as well I suspect.

indeed, especially when you consider the 2litre diesel lump in the 3series is 181hp. maybe they're leaving the extra horses for a Cooper SD works?
