Anyone get any pics of Ch94 at the Festival of Speed? Did get a glimpse of it on ITV4 last night but didn't really feature
Agreed. It was only a glimpse. I am sure Roy will have some photos for Keebling mag.Mellow Yellow said:
I don't want to tempt fate but it's looking like Ch76 will finally make the trip to Le Mans next week, any other Keebles going?
'Proxy' notice:- Ch69 is 'being prepared' as we speak. Not sure the owner is a PH'er - hence I send this, for him.
I have been busy settling into Somerset life which includes quite a few local fetes and fairs which have an classic car interest. So yesterday took 77 out as part of the local Martock classic car cavalcade which was an hours run through the local villages and back to Martock recreation ground for surprisingly well attended show. Nice mix of cars from Triumphs to Jaguars and just about every model of Ford, though my favourite was a very nice Holbay tuned Sunbeam Rapier. Thought I would post a couple of pics taken from 77 rather than of 77 for a change. I should add the puzzled look on the faces of the Morris Dancers when looking at a Keeble matches mine when looking at Morris Dancers...

Looks like a late addition to the auction? Certainly very little marketing of the sale by Coys! Be very interesting to see what it makes. I went to see it when Purnell Classics had it way back when. From memory they sold it to a museum(?) in Germany for what was a big price at the time.
Here is the Coys Car (No36) now in the ownership of someone I know. Lovely car.[/url]

Also owns this amongst his collection !

Back from Le Mans Classic last night, great weekend, Ch76 didn't miss a beat despite temperatures topping 30 degrees at times.
Didn't bump into Ch69 but did get chatting to a chap at Calais who indicated he'd only seen one other, a yellow one in his home town of Hastings! He could barely believe it when I told hi it was the same car.

Chassis 22 had a fuel pump failure recently. It looks terminal - fuel is leaking from the hole for the electric cables, and it's a fixed unit that can't be taken apart. Can anyone suggest an alternative? It's mounted externally on two bolts that are 2.5" apart, and has a 5/16" inlet port at the bottom and a 5/16" outlet port at the top (see pics).
It's marked "Fuelflo 015 12V 9 7".
Can anyone suggest a suitable replacement? I'm hoping to find something that fits the current fuel pipes and mounting points.
Thanks!
Rob

Most Keebles (including all three I have owned) seem to be fitted with the Facet "red top" pumps. 1/4" NPT connections which will take a 5/16" 90 degree elbow connector. Looks about the same size, shape and mountings as your old pump. It's marked "Fuelflo 015 12V 9 7".

I happened to get a picture when I replaced mine, it already had a facet pump fitted so I can't swear that the fittings are the same as original. However, there were no additional holes in teh mounting plate and, looking at yours, the mounting holes look similarly positioned:
I think you want the "Gold Flo" pumps, due to the required flow rate.
...and make sure you order them with the connectors, I don't think they're included when you just buy the pump.

Hi Keeblers,
I am slowly working on the interior of which there is not much Original left. I noticed that the door and side covers were fastened with screws eveywhere. On the doors and in the sides i can see a lot of bigger holes suggesting that some sort of clip might have been used originally. On the photographs I find I Always see the chromed screws.
Was there a clip?

Hi Keeblers,
Where were the front speakers mounted? I found a nice round hole in the footwell of the passenger side with acess to the antenna. On the right side there was a crude acess hole. The non-original speakers were mounted in the front part of the doors.Just wondering whether the footwell mounted speakers will give a good sound?

Hi Dirk1 As I understand it there were just two speakers in total. One in the passenger footwell whilst the other was in the rear parcel shelf. Not sure that set up gave hifidelity sound...
V41LEY thanks for posting pics of ch 36 - it looks like it is back in the UK which is good to see.

Good afternoon Gents,
I am after a recommendation, if possible… the rear diff seal on Ch.74 is in desperate need of replacing. I understand that the diff, therefore seal required, is the same as that used on early-sixties Jaguar MK2 or E-Types but can anyone point me in the direction of a supplier, please? Obviously a quick internet search yields many possibilities of vastly differing prices, but I am after one of good quality and would sooner go on a recommendation. It’s certainly not a job to undertake too often!
Also, would any of you good chaps happen to have a manufacturers code/part number for a (standard) air filter element to hand?
After (yet another) year of inactivity, Ch.74 will be back out and about in 2017……
Many thanks in advance,
Carl

I was able to replace the seal with the pumpkin in situ but loosened by taking the supports out.Oil drained first, pushed the cardan shaft as far forward as possible and then tilted the pumpkin front down for acces.
Not easy but saved me a lot of work.Oil control ring came from local Jag dealer.
