I wonder when was the last time three were available for sale at the same time?

Price does seem very ambitious to us sat here in the UK but I suspect the vendor is considering the international market. If you're buying in USD, Ch98 is now about $25k less than when it went on sale. Hopefully this doesn't mean more going overseas.

Must say, I prefer the JAPs, although I suspect a higher profile tyre would make the minilites look better.

How far are you from having it running Dirk1?

Three questions:
1)Is the latch mechanism for the for/aft movement of the seats also near the tunnel as the seat back machanism or on the other side?
2)Passenger door doesn't lock. Is there a mechanism on the inside handle provided or should an exterior lock be mounted?
3)Is there some sort of hessian sound dampening under and on the backpanel of the rear seat? I see tracing of something that was glued on.
Thanks,
Dirk/Antwerp
1) It certainly is on the drivers side of Ch76, the lever rotates towards the tunnel to allow the seat to slide. This means it fouls the tunnel where it widens before the seat is as far forward as the runners will allow.
2) Yes, there is a mechanism on the inside handle, Rotate it clockwise to lock.
3) I don't know.

Sorry to see Ch77 up for sale on C&C, price seems more realistic than the other two though.

Looks fantastic from the photos but ambitious, I guess the USA isn't exactly overrun with them. Makes 77 look like a bargain.

That's fantastic to see Dirk, no doubt you'll have the engine sorted out in time, well done.

Had a bit of a result at the weekend, attended a local car show at Borde Hill house & gardens, run by Southern Classics. About 70-100 vehicles present throughout the day, including some very nice examples: stunning Borgward Isabella, Renault A110 Alpine amongst many others. Made it even more special when they announced Ch76 had won "Visitirs Choice, 1st Prize" smile

Can certainly be done without removing the body, Terry Harris removed the pedal box in the process of converting Ch76 back to manual without removing the body:

Who else is at Concorde Classic this Sunday?

Hi Mellow Yellow,

Will be there as place booked and having a break nearby in Hampshire having motored down today. Bring your umbrella!
Yes, weather forecast not ideal, was going to take the family but now looking like it'll just be me and the brolly.

I see Chassis 34 is back at Bonhams for their Goodwood Revival auction. Estimated at £80-90K.
There was a nice couple at Eastleigh on Saturday who were looking for a Keeble, apparently they had a what sounded like a very good offer for it turned down, owner keen to see what it'll make at auction.

Certainly an expensive GK. I made it £104250 including premium or £106600 once you add VAT to the premium. Looks like Quentin Willson was right when he tipped GKs to break £100k a couple of years back. Whether that's a one off price or not remains to be seen.
Listed as £105,100 inc premium (but not VAT), a good return given the vendor bought it at the same auction for £79,900 inc buyers premium two years ago.

When I got the car I fancied a five speed, I toyed with Borg-Warner T5 (too big) and LT77 (had one before and didn't like the feel of it), ended up going back to the T10 and, TBH, I'm glad I did. Just keeps it a bit more original. Apparently, there's a 5 speed Toyota box which is both small enough and strong enough but I've no idea what it is, GK52 may be able to help, I think he mentioned that one of his was accompanied by a Toyota box.

Merry Xmas PHers. Please send me a pm if you are considering selling your GK or know of someone who is. Running or restored cars preferred, but would look at a resto or project.
_Obrut_ you have PMs disabled!

Presumably you have seen Chassis 77 advertised on Car and Classic.

Happy new year Keeble Kid. Ch76 had bonnet gas struts when I bought it, I had them removed and returned it to the original strut when I had it re-sprayed. It had some stress cracks around the hinging points in the wings and the bonnet had a slight bow. Whilst it was by no means certain the gas struts had caused these issues, I was happy to have them removed rather than run the risk of cracking my nice new paint.

If anyone is interested in a 1/43 scale Gordon Keeble model, the BoS version seems to have come down a lot in price, one German seller on Ebay now offering for 29.95 euros including UK delivery. Also, used radiator and fuel tank up for Auction.

Impressive turnout, late 90's? I don't recall concrete block paving being around much before then.
