Is there a meet this Sunday for those not fancying the micro climate of Santa Pod as I am based in Brackley?

I will look out for Blakey with his radar gun

That's a reference that will go over the head of anyone much under 50.

I'll be at Santa Pod. The speed gun results should be a bit more interesting there. smile

I'll be at Brands Hatch showing off (well, nowhere near as much as the hypercar owners...), but I should be down for the June meet...hoping to bring a few waifs and strays along...

I'm on a trackday there this Thursday. Another go on the full GP circuit.

Was Billy No Mates there this morning. Not even Blakey with his speed camera was there.

Ok everybody. We can't be doing with having Billy no mates at the Red Lion. So, put Sunday June 4th in your diaries and get yourselves down to Evenley for the monthly meet at the pub.

Hopefully the weather will be kind to us so look forward to seeing a varied collection of tasty cars.
See you there 😎

Might be in Wales. But even if not, my weekend toy is off the road at the moment. I don't think the Z4 is special enough for Cars 'n' Coffee.

Who organises that?

Nice to see the NSXs today, shame pub wasn't open.

Not sure, but I think it's the aerodrome themselves. They have a Facebook page.

It's Silverstone Social Classic Car meet apparently. They have a Facebook group.

I missed July's meet, did it happen?

Does anyone know if the pub is definitely going to be open this Sunday morning?

Went at 1100 last month. There were only a couple of very friendly guys with their Porsches, but there might have been more people earlier. Pub wasn't open.

Sadly I can't make tomorrow, but I'm thinking we could join forces with the Silverstone Social Classic Car people who now seem to have a thriving set of meets going in the area and a well organised website. According to their website, the next one is tonight at Roade (6pm - 8pm) and then next Sunday at Turweston Airfield.

Like the Evenley meet, they say they are happy for anyone with an interesting car to turn up - it isn't just classics.

You get a few moans from people moaning about new stuff turning up that is not a classic, mainly MX5 owners and MG ZS owners

Last event was ok and a good eclectic mix, think they are going down a more membership route in the future so will lose its charm
