Sorry guys doesn't look like I will make it tomorrow (thanks for the directions by the way Mark 
) as just been for a blast round the Fen roads in the Cerb and think I have broke the left rear suspension - I hit a big bump going at some mph and there was a big bang. Now whenever I go round right hand corners it feels like the left rear wheel wants to tuck underneath. Guess some mounting point, maybe the anti-roll bar has come adrift. Need to wait for proper daylight to get it jacked up and survey the damage.
Better get it sorted before I venture too far me thinks.
Although saying that left-hand corners still seem OK - anyone plan me a route from Milton Keynes to Ashby Folville that only involves going round lefthand corners??

Sounds a bit broken damper rod-ish to me.... hope not to expensive
