flat battery!
Need any Help?
I'll be passing cruising along the A14 from Cambridge about 4.30-5.00 and I think I have jump leads in the car!
Will be leaving here about 4pm - call me on my mobile if you need your car jump started (I had to be REALLY careful how I worded that!)

Hey guys, I saw this on one of the Midlands thread and posted a reply as:
According to www.austinhealeyclub.co.uk/meets.html.
Last Thursday The Black Horse, Foxton, Leicestershire. dosent have a time though.
As stated earlier I used to go to this meeting but it's been on and off several times over the last year or two as the Landlord changed.
I've e-mailed the organiser from the web page to try and get clarification that it isn't out of date info on their web site but the message is returned as undeliverable and I've tried ringing the black Horse direct since 10.00am this morning (constantly engaged). I'll keep trying and post on the Nothants thread (www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?p=2&f=168&t=283033&h=0) if i get any response.
I suggest that for the moment we stay with the Foxton Locks plan but we can always change last minute as the 2 pubs are less than half a mile apart.

Apparently, there may be something on at a pub in Foxton on Thursday. Never been, but if I find out more I'll post again. Dave

Spoken to the Pub and there is an event on tonight. Not sure I can make it yet
'Twas a pleasure and all PH'ers are welcome to a waft if only to prove that once upon a time a Rover was a car to be proud of!
And many thanks to you Justin for the indicator - Guess what I shall be doing tomorrow night while you're out on the beer?
Hope to see you all, or some of you on Sunday to go to Oakham.
Mark will co-ordinate the Kettering crowd to meet up via MH as per the bash the other week.

Aw shucks!
Thanks guys. The old boy (for purposes of clarification I mean the Rover) is not used to such adulation.
I was getting a bit worried about the upholostery with Steph and Justin in the back but rolling round a few corners on the door handles seemed to have a similar effect to the more usual bucket of cold water.
I wonder if Justin has found his land legs yet or is he still walking on his Rover legs.
When I got home I realised I hadn't taken any photos of the other cars to prove to you that the car park was FULL of classics prior to your arrival. Doh! They were there. Really, Honest!

Yeah, was like being on a luxury cruise liner whafting about with no indication of speed or journey! You can chauffeur me anytime!
Loved the cup holders and Chavtastic blue LED lighting!
Shame we missed the larger attendence. It was fun seeing Justin and Pete having fun on the roundabouts and hearing/seeing Justin blast past us on the A6 at incredible speed!

That's ok, remember to take a pair of steel toe-capped c**t kicking boots home with you next time - that should deal with any chit chat!
