Yep. All that was missing when chasing after the dog was some Benny Hill music!
Sorting the results still gives me nightmares after cutting my teeth on them a few years ago. Everywhere I looked in the results, there was a different type of error in the first third, middle third and final third...

Doesn't give me nightmares, most weeks we can correct things but occasionally I've had to admit there's something wrong but I can't work out what it is and trying to fix some might make others worse, so I just leave them as they are, it's not the Olympics, most people who care about times time themselves and lots of people don't care about time.Anyway, Cybertronian, are you in these photos!

I'm not in any of the photos, but a number of the shots look like the handiwork of my cousin, Bruce, who you've met previously. At my home parkrun in Kettering yesterday we had a guy collapse with a heart attack near the finish.
Horrible to witness as cpr was being administered and it looked bad
Ambulance was there in 5 minutes and I'm glad to say after having a stent fitted he is on the road to recovery
Some amazing people out there than can truly save your life
Who knows if parkrun made him have the attack, or if he would have had it anyway, possibly alone with no assistance nearby............

Ouch. Glad the prognosis is good. Our view is it's a when, not an if something like that happens. Will be getting first aid training for all my rds.
Talking of which, my first event went ahead yesterday. Whirlwind on the day, so only really appreciated it afterwards, but wow. Over a year of work all came to a head. 21 kids bombed round our junior course, happy as!

I guess running might have brought on the attack, but there's usually an underlying problem that causes it and it could have happened at any time, so as you say it would have been worse if it had been when he was running on his own or driving etc. IIRC people who are fit are more likely to survive an attack so running mostly saves them rather than causing it.The event team said nurse and GP were there within moments and probably saved his life so although it's traumatic for people seeing it, it was probably the safest place for him to be.
Just checked Kettering facebook page - his wife posted "4 stents put in and will need another in a few weeks. A lifetime of pills but he's here and that's amazing. He has astounded them as after all he's been through there is no damage to his heart. 2 broken ribs from CPR"
In case you haven't seen this, Westminster Mile parkrun wave, 27 May.
Not sure if it's worth it if you don't live nearish but it's a good day out.

Went to Penallta parkrun for a bit of tourism whilst in my wife's motherland of Wales. It really is refreshing to go to a smaller event - everybody's so friendly, welcoming and curious!
Course had some narrow gates, which would limit serious growth in numbers without some diversion or modification.

Tourism is Torbay Velopark today. Perhaps one of the least scenic parkruns available with 3 laps of the track that's comparable to a gokart circuit and finished with a spur through a crazy amount of puddles.
Very welcoming though.

Penallta is a very friendly bunch but they vastly overhype their little mound!Course had some narrow gates, which would limit serious growth in numbers without some diversion or modification.

Yep. Looking at their description of Bea's Hill and people's Strava elevation plots, I was expecting something more intense. What I was met with was actually quite gradual.Bryn Bach parkrun will be my next spot of tourism - do you have any experience of that event?

Not been to Bryn Bach yet, but it's on the shortlist of to do soon. I'm told it's very picturesque. Much more so than the neighboring Merthyr Tydfil!Bryn Bach parkrun will be my next spot of tourism - do you have any experience of that event?
I haven't been to Parkrun for about a month because it didn't fit with my current training plan, but that went out of the window last week due to a business trip and a few other work and life stuff getting in the way. So as it all went to st I thought I'd do Parkrun. I wasn't expecting much but I ran my best time this year by 30 seconds and took 20 seconds of my PB!
Quite happy with that!

Anyone run Clapham Common yet? It's quite new.
My daughter lives near there - I did suggest she went, but I'm not sure that her student clock has a 9am on a Saturday!I might try and tie in picking her up with a run one day.
