Thanks for all the replies laugh that’s a pretty ridiculous challenge. Funny though. It’s shame the challenge extension isn’t available on iPhone/ iPad. I rarely go on my old laptop so not that easy to see the latest badges. First world problems.

It's Pirates. 7 Cs (Seas) and an R. One of the more contrived targets!

We need to come up with PH ones!

An M an X and 5 runs??

100 runs including a B and H and a P??

335 runs, a B and M a W and a D??
Seen as this is PH, surely it’s got to be doing a T,V and R parkrun event. Consecutively for added difficulty.

I'm definitely doing this, next year. But to cover my travel costs, could everyone chip in now? I'll load some short clips of me running about to prove I can run. Then you can send me the money and I'll definitely do the TVR challenge next year. I've got socks, shorts and a vest, but I've not got shoes yet, so I'm 75% of the way there with my kit. I'll definitely have that all sorted next year, so please pay me some money now. I do have some test shoes for the running videos.

However, I have just noticed that because my Mrs controls the bank account, she (and all her friends, obviously) have a say in the type of shoes I will be buying. It has come to my attention that this might mean I won't do the challenge next year, but I'll definitely do it in the future, so any money sent to me now to cover my travel costs is well spent.

In London or the Central Belt of Scotland, that would be straightforward enough! smile

It's that time of the year again, so where's everybody getting their additional Christmas and New Year's Day Double runs in? Will be visiting the in-laws this year for some additional tourism.

22nd: the relatively new Severn Bridge parkrun that crosses through 3x counties, from Wales to England and back
25th : Newport parkrun
29th: Cannon Hill parkrun to celebrate a friend's 250th run
1st: the relatively new Sutton Park parkrun, followed by either Kingsbury Water parkrun or Perry Hall parkrun (probably the latter)

We were toying with the idea of doing a New Years Eve double (Malmo and Copenhagen), and then a UK New Years Day double, but sadly they're doing NYD not NYE this year frown My wife's boss had already booked his flights before they said it wasn't going to happen though, oops.

We'll get the Christmas Day and a NYD double in though, plus the Boxing Day Beer Run at the Devils Punchbowl.

Staying at the GF parents for Xmas. So will be visiting beautiful Middlesbrough. Luckily there are some great parkruns in the area, will most likely be doing Albert parkrun.

Determined to do the NYD double this time as have only ever done a late NYD parkrun (just the one). That’ll either be in Edinburgh or Glasgow. So plenty to choose from.

All the ones in scooching distance near me are at the same time, not that I could even contemplating consecutive runs, was thinking a volunteer then a run...but two runs on the same date would be fun on my results page. biggrin

22nd at Bedworth or touristing
25th Congleton or The Whammy (at parents)
29th & NYD some of the parkruns around Cumbria. Due to distances between them I doubt I will get chance to do the double.

In the past, due to some exceptional event combinations, have allowed some speedy runners to participate in 3x events on New Year's Day. 08:30, 09:30 and 10:30 starts would have facilitated this, though only 2x events would be counted for results.

I'm not motivated enough to attempt much of that over the Christmas break. Of my two local runs one is doing Christmas day, the other New Years Day. Doing 2 x 5ks back to back wouldn't be an issue for me though but we don't have anything else close enough.

We're going to friends on Christmas Eve, I expect one or two drinks may be consumed and then on Christmas Day the kids will be wanting to open their presents so unlikely to be doing that Parkrun.

Probably do the NYD one though, don't think we have any plans for NYE so will treat it like any other night and maybe have a glass or two of wine. The run is at a more respectable 10 am as well, I'll drag the kids along and do a slow one with them if they're up for it.

Next year half marathon training begins...

Didn't know about this - thanks for sharing the link.

My local one is not running on Christmas day, but is for NYD - very tempting smile

For New years day, Chipping Sodbury (9.00am) and Chippenham (10.30) ought to be possible. Don't know if I could manage them both though
