Didn't like Williams in the past but he seems to have acquired a sense of humour and a very relaxed attitude which is very endearing. I hope he trounces Higgins.
For all the cheating allegations etc, Higgins has played sublime though. I think Williams has a difficult task - he must be knackered too. I think Higgins will have a reasonable lead by tonight, but tomorrow Williams will come back. Expecting a result of 18-16 either way.

I hope it is Williams!

Edit to Add - 16-1 for a Williams 18-16 win.

Two even matches and was rooting for Wilson given Higgin's past although this suggests he was set up:

Interesting article, so am I right in summarising, there was no premeditation on Higgins part, he was set up, said what he needed to in the meeting because he felt uncomfortable, but because it was filmed he was 'caught' ?

Allegations aside, I think he's played the best snooker of the two finalists and will be hard to beat, I will be rooting for Williams to win it though.

I don't buy it personally. He's a multi-millionaire with as he says property in at least two countries so he doesn't need the money, whether it comes as sponsorship or bribes. So why not just say no, or I'd have to think about it or whatever when the bribe bit comes up?

One of the major benefits of having money is having choice. And ultimately he chose to go, chose to talk to them and chose to agree. We can tell by looking at him he's a greedy fker, and clearly it goes beyond grub.

It's quacking like a fat duck.

Williams for the win please.

I went out at 4pm,when it was 4-0.
Whatever you think of Higgins,at least he's making a fight of it ,being 7-7 when I switched on half hour ago.

Higgins potting the brown was funny.

But massive frame, could have been 9-8

That was a bizarre shot for him to play. I reckon however he hit that must have had a 90% chance of knocking it in!!

Good bit of joking between Williams & Brian Wright in the afternoon session with Williams asking him for what appeared to be a mini selection of Galaxy Counters, Maynards Wine Gums & possibly a crisp or two hehe

Clever bit of charm to get the crowd (further) behind him, I think.

He seems such a nice bloke, I’m very keen for him to win.

It's been a good final so far - Higgins has played the better snooker since going 4-0 and 5-1 down and is unlucky to be 10-7 down (although I'm not complaining). At one point 8-8 looked a certainty. Williams is one of the few players who comes out on top vs Higgins when it comes to the scrappy frames.

My word, Williams is crushing Higgins. Is there any way back when you're 7 frames down? I don't think so...
