Its the first time that Ronnie has actually annoyed me(love watching him/always been a big fan). He was taking out his backside for me in that interview, and I was disappointed that he was saying things just for a reaction, rather than be happy with his achievement. He seems to be playing some kind of game with his comments, and I thought he came across as a bit of a pratt today(I think Jimmy White thought similar too).

I think he thinks it makes him look interesting or intelligent it does not. My 92 year old mother has watched Snooker even before it was in black and white and she will not even watch a single frame if he is on TV.
What was it before black and white? https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/snooker/46419267
Is this Ronnie being serious, or a big dig at John Higgins?
“John will join me along with the 2 recently banned Chinese players”

Ronnie wins another U.K. championship - his 19th major. It’s remarkable that he’s playing so well at this age - most snooker players decline significantly in their late 30s however Ronnie is still winning tournaments at 43 and there are no signs of him slowing down.
He is simply a phenomenon. Easily the best player ever to pick up a stick, he just seems to battle on. Ronnie makes some interesting points about what is in it for the 128th best player in the world and whether the public really want to see the top 16 playing rank outsiders in draughty venues across the UK.
Clearly snooker is in a better place now than it was, but is it perfect ?
