Don't think Cahill will be an amateur for much longer, excellent match
He has already secured his tour card for next season so this will be his last tournament as an amateur.

Ronnie’s playing this like an exhibition match, but you always feel he can raise it when he needs to.

Just heard them say that he's already been a professional and fell off the circuit.

To my mind ROS is playing stupidly as if he expects to win without trying.

Ronnie has played brilliantly all season yet turns up to the biggest tournament of the season and looks like he can’t even be bothered to be out there.

Selby struggled today too - his match finishes this evening and should be an interesting watch.

We are at the crucible this morning for the Selby match,it was scrappy but good to watch. Looking forward to seeing the conclusion tonight.

He doesn't need to act like a throbber with his talent.

His constant gurning after losing position or missing a pot irks somewhat too.

Despite his mindset being better than it probably ever has been, he still doesn't have the temperament for this long, multi-session format and is always liable to go missing. It's a surprise he's won 5 of them to be honest!

Does anyone actually enjoy watching Selby?

Every match is the same turgid stuff. Hope this wee boy can stay awake long enough to put him out on his arse.

He's giving him every chance here Selby, but I think Zhao has missed his chance and Selby will grind out a win (probably at 2am in the morning!)

I certainly don't and I find him very boring to watch.

Selby has been gifted so many chances here - Zhao could have been home and dry by now.

I watch a lot of snooker and sometimes I wonder to myself, does Ronnie almost enjoy playing badly, as to give his opponent a head start as such? I have seen this time and time again from Ronnie, plays awfully and then turns on the style.

Ditto.

I haven't had the chance to watch this tournament yet due to work commitments though.

Cahill certainly isn't overawed with the occasion or his opponent.

Great reply to O'Sullivan's century.

We’ll see shortly...

Almost as if Ronnie thought Cahill wouldn’t be able to clear up early doors. Didn’t see the session last night though.

Chances for RoS now. Think he’ll hit his groove now and smell the weakness.
