Are Higgins and Hendry close?

I find the love in peculiar too. He’s efficient at grinding out games yes, but not Selby style relentlessness. He’s a great break builder, but not anywhere near O’Sullivan’s panache or invention. He’s great at safety but somehow makes it uninteresting. I think it must be because if we all worked as hard, we’d end up like him, playing wise. Morally, we’re all miles better, or I’d like to think so. He may be near the top of the list in achievements, but his playing is so joyless it’s hard to appreciate it. And he’s a cheat.

I expect Higgins to come out swinging today and reduce the deficit to perhaps 14-11, but Trump to finish tonight.

I honestly think Higgins physique / fitness is hindering him, looks like he is struggling / grunting on some of the shots were he has to stretch. These finals are long sessions and I think he is suffering.

If Trump is in the same mood as yesterday, it won't matter what Higgins does.

Fingers crossed.

Django? He's a massive petrolhead and has owned an eye-watering amount of proper PH cars over the years (as you probably know). Great guy and very approachable.
Yes, must be nearly 30 years ago now but while at college I worked in a Burger King that he owned. In the same store I also worked with the girl who has gone on to be Stuart Binghams wife haha.
But yes, even back in those days he was a massive petrolhead, last time I saw him he had a Ferrari 458 and Porsche GT3rs

Very cool. From what I've heard he really looks after the players he manages too

Agree, I've loathed Higgins ever since the scandal because he didn't have the decency to put his hand up to it, but I also believe in second chances and tbh after years of abuse he's served his time.

Time to forget and move on. So I'm wishing both competitors good luck today, hope it's a good finish to the match.
Baws to that, he's not had nearly enough abuse imo. I can remember one heckler years ago, the rest of the crowds and pundits kiss his arse.

Fat bd. Celtic fan. Cheat. I'm not short of reasons to dislike the prick.

Putting aside his past, the current frame (its 8-15) Higgins is playing some cracking shots.

Blimey that was close to 147.

This is the best I've ever seen Trump he has been amazing at times. A sort of blend between Alex Higgins with the power shots mixed with Ronnies ability to sink anything when he is at his best. A class final so far.

Higgins must’ve had money on no 147s hehe

Tried the ridiculous double, it goes in, then he missed the black off the spot from perfect position silly

Trump’s playing is remarkably good. So good in fact, I’m actually feeling a bit sorry for John Higgins.
Wash your mouth out--we know you don't mean it.

I cringe at the start of the sessions. Music, smoke, disco lights...

Come on Judd, only 2 more frames.

The white ball just seemed to move about the table in slow motion when Trump plays his shots . Really enjoyed that it was fantastic stuff.

Great result but a bit of an anti-climax in the end. Not sure how happy I’d be with a ticket to the last session.

I will be honest and say that I did not ever think Trump would win the WC.

Well I was wrong, cracking play and some of the shots were incredible.

One sided in the end, lets hope he can win a few more.

A million pound in prize money for the season as well.

If he keeps that standard up then he will be unbeatable for a long time.
