Trump has made a good start to tonight's session against Murphy.. Taking the first 2 frames. Virgo commentating, by saying to try to move the 2 reds from the left cushion when playing a red would be the wrong shot - Trump plays it, releases the reds and wins the frame...
Great even match and snooker. I know it irrational but don't want trump to win because of his name linked to ex president. Great match.

Much happier to watch Trump play snooker, and thankfully no longer see or hear from the ex. US President Trump...!
Murphy one away, so hopefully Trump can get it to 12 all and get a decider...!

I wanted to see Shaun beat Trump last night. He’s a great ambassador for the game, always classy and has snooker’s best interests at heart. Trump is just an arrogant little twerp, always mouthing off but he just can’t seem to find it at the worlds. He’ll never get close to half a dozen world titles.

Can't say I've seen much of Trump being an arrogant twerp.

Murphy's no angel. Always banged on about his religion and devoutness yet used a hooker and destroyed his first marriage.

That's worse than Trump 'mouthing off' in my book.

Neither are my cup of tea really though.

Murphy was a scratch golfer a couple of years ago too. Bloody hate it when someone is good a multiple sports, I'd give my left gonad to be good at ONE.

I think the allegations about his marital behaviour are disputed, but pobody's nerfect and I reckon he'll end up a pundit, he has a great affinity with the camera.

Anyway, I have obvioulsy put the mockers on McGill by swinging in behind him this year and last, he seems to be becoming the Fulham of snooker. Everybody likes him but he'll never win anything. Which is appropriate as I'm a Fulham man, so I'll stick with him.

Its like David James being a professional footballer AND an Armani model.

I knew nothing of Murphy’s marital behaviour, besides I’m not interested. It’s the game of snooker he’s a great ambassador for, what he does in his personal life I couldn’t care less.

Trump has no decorum. Loves to harp on about how everybody knows he’s the number 1. Well if that’s the case, then perhaps he might want to consider winning the big one a bit more often, rather than bottling it.

If you say so.

I've not seen Trump do that personally.

I'll take your word for it.

I like Trump, but to be fair to the above poster, he was saying that just this week or last, along the lines of "even Ronnie knows I am the number 1 etc etc"

Though, he does have the wins back it up, so don't see an issue with it myself.

I've always thought Murphy's playing career was just filling time before he inevitably becomes part of the next generation of commentator / pundit. He's got the perfect voice and attitude to the game.

A thought just occurred to me. I haven't heard a single cough from the audience this year. Lockdown must have supressed all the usual cough and cold viruses as well as Covid. Even though it's only half full or whatever, you'd imagine you'd hear a few coughs now and then.

Oh, 2 coughs just then (4th frame of Murphy / Wilson). Also, it hasn't stopped the phones going off!

She looked good tonight.

Reminded me of why I watched a lot of tennis when Annabel Croft was presenting.

Bingham - fat wk
Murphy - fat ginger wk
Selby - tedious wk
Wilson - stupid bleached hair wk

It's a hard one to get any enthusiasm for now. I'd actually edge towards Selby as the least worst option. Can't believe I'm saying that but the rest are 'jist naw'.

So from that I take it your ideal final would be David Gandy vs Ryan Reynolds playing like Jimmy White & Alex Higgins? Sorry, not happening..

I'd be happy with Ronnie, McGill, Maguire, Trump, Ding, Wenbo and plenty of others. Just not the trumpets like the aforementioned or Neil Robertson. The baby haired wk.

Some strange vitriol directed at tame snooker players recently in here.

Fair enough, I well remember the collective despair in 2016 when the final was Selby vs Higgins thumbup

Funny isn't it, I'm not a massive Selby fan, but the other 3 I really like.
I'm hoping for Kyren to win the title, but as long as the snooker is of the quality we've seen over the last few days I actually really don't mind who wins.

Agreed with the comments on Robertson though, I'm definitely not a fan.
