''Pleasant'' What a horrible word. Milky-tea drinkers are ''pleasant''
Senna
Prost
Mansell
S Williams
Connors
McEnroe
Lewis Hamilton of the above.
Takes what it takes to be a long-term winner.
Of course my argument is entirely debunked by Federer, Nicklaus. Gits!
It was intended as a sincere compliment. It's perfectly possible not to be a sthead whilst also being a winner.Senna

Halep played an exceptional game. Well deserved.
Seems to be a bit of Serena hate on here. Why is that?
The US open final might have more than a bit to do with that....Seems to be a bit of Serena hate on here. Why is that?
Halep, superb, lovely with it as are Fed and RAFA.
Murray, never blessed with absolute natural ability, always felt he was playing himself as well as his opponent, whereas the true greats never look as such.

Avoided everything all day. Put the highlights programme on and its straight in to an interview with Halep having won. fking good one BBC.
No highlights at all and massive spoiler.
Not exactly a shock though really is it? It's been that way for the best part of the last few years as the highlights show on Saturday night is always canned when there is still another final being played. No highlights at all and massive spoiler.
In this case the mens doubles was about to head into a 5th set and there was 15 minutes to fill whilst they closed the roof on centre court. Not exactly surprising that the BBC decided to fill that time with an interview with the new womens champion from earlier on in the day, as the majority of the audience still watching at that time will already have watched the match live earlier and are probably still watching the current doubles match.

Federer's service game at 5-5 1st set contains so much brilliance it's worth a watch in itself.
It's like Federer is playing a different sport at times even though he lost that set. There must be something in the culture of tennis coaching that creates players like Djokovic than those like Federer. Easier to replicate to coach is most likely the case (what Djokovic does with the racket, not his movement) but what Federer does with his racket is just ridiculous!Gassing Station | Sports | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
