Hope to see Murray out soon. A childish and petulant man, I cannot understand the love in for him. Could never lace Federer’s shoes, who behaves with total class and makes the game look beautiful.
So what have you achieved?
What a strange question.
It’s a fair question . . .

I don’t believe that my own achievements, or lack thereof, make me any less entitled to voice my opinions on what I think of Andy Murray, both as a tennis player and a person. smile

I can't deny Murray is childish and petulant, but many players are, it doesn't take much to spark off a Kyrgios or Serena meltdown.

Convinced Federer is a cyborg, constructed in a underground research laboratory funded by Nestle.

Difficult to compare anyone to Federer though, he's something else!

As expected a step to far for AM tonight. Shapovalov Is a rising star and will likely go deep into next week - he comes over as a nice lad too. Olympics next for Andy, and presumably the US Open if he stays fit, and then perhaps an assessment on whether it is worth continuing.

I’d like to see him playing doubles. Happy memories of McEnroe and Fleming.

I think today’s match should tell A.M. what he needs to do. It’s time to call it a day ( at least for singles ). It was embarrassing to watch today.

Murray's still very short of match practice so writing him off now as a singles player might be a little premature IMO. However, he was nowhere near where he needs to be against Shapovalov yesterday and if he can't raise his level a fair bit higher than that I think he'll call it a day, at least where singles is concerned; when you've been at the very top - as Murray has - there can't be much attraction in scratching around just to make the top 50 in the world.

However, I do agree he could continue to play to a decent level in doubles and it would be good to see him do that if he decides he no longer wishes to continue with singles.

Impressed by Emma Raducanu punching well above her weight current ranking of 338 I am sure home advantage and only 18.
Yep - just hope the media don't pile on the pressure and leave her alone a bit to play tennis and grow as a player

I agree. 115 grand for getting to R3 should soften the blow a bit though.

Emma, 18, ranked 338, to Wimbledon 4R. Crazy stuff!

And she’s a petrolhead:

I understand your concerns but that is a forlorn hope, a new wimblydon hopeful AND a shiny limbed gamine ?
Fat chance, she'll need to fight off the paps with a broken bottle.
